We are looking for a Software Engineer to be part of our platform called Kanzu Jobs. Kanzu Jobs is a platform that matches clients that need web mobile applications built with pre-vetted, expert Ugandan software developers.
This is a platform that will connect clients to developers who create web and mobile application for clients in the market. These tech tools include custom software, websites, apps and custom digital solutions and you will work on a variety of challenging solutions for customers all over the world primarily using WordPress.
Skills &Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of PHP and JS programming languages and the WordPress CMS
- Basic understand of web markup including HTML5 and CSS3.
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git.
- Good understanding of browser rendering behaviour and performance
- Excellent inter personal skills
- Are a strong problem solver
- Have really good communication and planning skills
- Have a good grasp of key software engineering principles & best practices such as version control, test-driven development and SOLID principles.
- Have at least 3 years of experience working in software development writing code for web or mobile applications.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage individual project priorities, deadlines and deliverables well.
- Interfacing with clients/product owners to understand their business, goals and vision for products.
